At a small-town Comic Con, superfan Matt is mistaken for famous actor Dick Chase and is thrust on stage for a live Q+A where he inadvertently implicates his hero in a series of scandals. A hilarious farce ensues, as Matt and his friend Larna attempt to salvage Dick’s reputation. If the pair are to save the day, they must swerve savage TV execs, scoop-hungry reporters, and an overzealous policeman, all while navigating the asteroid field of teenage awkwardness.

Ben Cawood

Director

Ben Cawood is a director and writer from Leeds, now based in London. He is passionate about theatre as a form of escapism: entertaining audiences through laughter. His favourite genre is farce and whilst studying at Durham University directed Noises Off and It Runs In The Family along with musical comedies such as Crazy For You and Gypsy. He is currently working on his own farce, Off And On, which will be performed at Camden Fringe and on heritage railways in the summer.

Bethan Moran

Producer

Bethan Moran is a creative producer from South Somerset, now based in London. A recent History/Politics graduate from the University of York, she is now pursuing her passion for the arts at Mountview. She is interested in collaboratively facilitating creative processes across the entertainment industry, including in theatre, film/TV, and festivals and events. She also likes folk music, countryside walks, and eating cheesy chips as a reward for going on a countryside walk.
