Participation

Because everyone should be able to explore and develop their creativity, we’re dismantling barriers to the arts and opening our building to the people of Peckham and beyond. Donate and help create more opportunities for people to develop skills, explore their creativity and connect with each other at Mountview.

Generation Next

Each term, nearly 250 local young people have the opportunity to develop key life skills including communication, creativity and confidence. They make new friends, and discover pathways into the arts through workshops in Acting, Musical Theatre, Dance and more.

Many could not attend without financial support. Our Southwark Bursary Scheme removes financial barriers for 67% of participants so everyone can enjoy an arts education together.

We have to raise £40,000 from individuals, trusts & foundations, and corporate partners to fund this bursary scheme every year.

We’re proud of Generation Next’s impact. In 23/24:

the difference bursaries make

Lanya

Lanya attended Engage (now called Generation Next) with a bursary at our old home in Wood Green. She later graduated from our BA in Acting in 2022 and has since performed in The Lion King in London’s West End! Read about her journey to the stage and the role her bursary played here.
