Instead of GCSEs, Cain, Riyad and Jonjo got sentences. Locked up together in a young offender institution, they trade sweets, chat shit, kill time – and await fatherhood. Grace’s job is to turn these teenagers into parents. But can they grow up quickly enough to escape the system?

Chris Lancaster makes work that has societal and emotional impact. He’s best known for Lost Boy, which shone a light on the issue of child-trafficking, and was featured on BBC Newsnight, leading to social policy change. At Mountview he has assisted Shane Dempsey (Solaris) and Bec Martin (Much Ado About Nothing).

Duration: 90 minutes (no interval)

Please note that this production includes strong, sexually explicit and offensive language , including homophobic, misogynistic and anti-Romani remarks. There are references to violence, suicide, self-harm, domestic violence, gangs and drug use.
