Mountview’s Actor Musicianship present this mischievous examination of gender and power within the frame of the 17th-century witchcraft trials in England. Inspired by the Women’s Rights Act of 1970, the astonishing inequality of that time and questioning if anything has really changed.

Duration: 1 hour 50 minutes (no interval)

Nick Barstow

Musical Director - Vinegar Tom

Nick is a composer, musical director and orchestrator often specialising in revivals and actor musicianship.

Forthcoming productions include the return of Bonnie and Clyde (West End) and the long-awaited UK premiere of Next to Normal (Donmar Warehouse). Recent ventures include Tom Basden’s re-imagined version of Accidental Death of an Anarchist (Sheffield Crucible/Lyric Hammersmith), and orchestrating and arranging the revival of Tim Rice’s From Here to Eternity, which also received its first studio cast recording.

Ben trained at RCSSD. He has been Offie nominated four times, as well as winning the award in 2018 and 2022.
