Sound Designer Matthew Giles

A double bill of one-act plays exploring teenage rage.

In The IT, a young girl has something growing inside her and it’s not what you think. It has claws. It’s slowly taking over. No one must know.

RIOT. THE ROAD. 7pm TONIGHT. In The Accordion Shop, hundreds of teenagers are surging onto the streets after all receiving the same mysterious text message.

These brilliant, utterly contemporary pieces – commissioned by the National Theatre – are paired for the first time and infused with furious theatrical life by our Acting students in this in-the-round production.

The IT is an amateur production by arrangement with Nick Hern Books.

The IT & The Accordion Shop features strobe lighting, haze, strong language, scenes of a sexual nature and references to dark themes including bullying, suicide, war and violence.
